Back to the beach

a few of my friends at the beach. Mom, you are supposed to take pictures of me!
Much better Mom

Several of my friends at the beach. When did grandma get here?

Oh look Mom is trying to give me a snack, darn there was nothing.

And now Mom is wondering where I went, I want snacks.

And now Mom is betraying me to Duke.

I am playing with Binx, Bella, and Archer.  Digging party!!!!
Archer looking lost

Rougar Bella and I  just spotting some fun
And I found it, an interesting frisbee

Friends at play

Lucy right near people, she is almost always next to someone.  I think she is a bit of an attention hound but aren't we all?

Now you may be asking yourself why there are only captioned photos on this post.  Well I have been to the beach a few times now so although it is a lot of fun like always I did not feel that we needed to go over the same thing again.  These are just a few of the pictures that were taken but I felt that they would be good for now.  I hope that everyone is enjoying my posts.

New Brothers and Sisters!!!

Today Dad got an e-mail from my biological parents saying that I have seven new brothers and sisters.

My three new Brothers and four new Sisters.  I remember having a few more around me when I was that young.  I came from a litter of 12.
I had better sleep fast.  Playing with all of my new brothers and sister could be tiring work.
I hope that when they get new homes that they have homes that are as good as mine!

Good luck to them all.

Please don't ask where they are. I can't say until after June 17th.

I will post what I did over the weekend either tomorrow or the day after.

Long Beach Dane Meetup

Sunday I went to the Long Beach Great Dane Meetup.  Mom and Dad got up kind of early but not too early.  Both cone head Bella and I were taken outside quickly in first thing and then rushed into the car.  This has only happened a couple of times and the first time I remember was the Great Dane Meetup in Claremont.  Well sure enough Mom and Dad took both the running lamp shade and I to another Meetup.  This Great Dane Meetup was at Recreation Park Dog Park in Long Beach.  This is a nice park with a lot of room to run around and quite a bit of stuff to play around.  There were logs, metal structures, and of course other Danes!!!  There were a couple of Danes I have met before and a few I had not.  Lucy (Giant George's sister) and a fawn named Maggie were there.  There were also five other Danes that I met for the first time.  Three of them were harlequin, one mantle, one was another blue merle like myself only smaller.  The three harlequins were named Maggie, Lucy, and Bodhi.  Yes if you have kept track that makes two Lucy's and two Maggie's.  Try and keep that straight.  The Mantle dane was Panda while the other blue merle was Moxie.  Now that is a few M's for me to try and keep straight when Dad says a name, Maggie, Moxie, Maimai, and Maggie.  Wow too confusing sometimes.  I think it is time that I show a couple of pictures of how things went.

Almost all of us together.  Only Panda was missing.  Come on everyone can't we even take one group photo?

Lucy and Maggie playing with a Lab that was at the park.  Silly people Labs are not big dogs!

Maggie and Moxie.  Don't get confused here I am bigger than both of them!

Bella and I in the middle of the park.

Bella and I trying to figure out where everyone went too...

Well there are a couple of them.  Some of the Dane owners could not stay and they took their friends away too soon.
All around it was fun to get around everyone again.  I can't wait to see all my friends again next Sunday at Huntington Dog Beach.  But wait a minute, I still have two more pictures.  Oh that is right there was something fun just outside the dog park as well.

Outside the dog park there is a Casting Club.  Mom was confused about this but I know that this is just a shallow pond for me to play in!!!  I had a lot of fun in the water but I did have to make sure Bella stayed out of the water.  Although it was shallow for me it was more than deep enough for her to have problems.  I am sure glad that Mom kept her back.  There was only one small problem with this pond, it had a slippery bottom!!  I was lucky to have stayed on all four feet but splashing around in the water was a lot of fun as well.

I know that I have a couple of more fun posts coming up soon so check back with me in the next few days.

Bella Has To Be A Cone Head For Another Week

So last week Bella hurt her ear. Today Mom and Dad took Bella to the vet for a follow up. The vet said that Bella needs to keep her cone on for another week.
I have another week to try and turn on the running lamp.

I'm So Tired

Two words, I'M TIRED!!!!!!

Yesterday Mom takes me to Victoria Gardens. We walked around. Mom took me into almost every store. There was a lot of clothes Mom was interested in. While we were walking there was this boy that kept grabbing on to his mom and then started crying when he saw me. His mom picked him up and told Mom that last week a dog my size chased him and scared him. Mom told the boy that I am training to be a therapy dog and that I'm really nice. He started petting me. Mom also gave him a treat to give me. His sister also gave me a treat.

We met Dad for lunch. Johnny Rockets like usual.

Mom was tired too. She kept telling Dad that she couldn't feel her legs anymore. I don't get it, she was still walking.

Well today, more walking.

Mom and Dad took me and Bella to the Walk With Animals fair. It was outside. The place looked like an oversized dog park. The day started off with a walk around this really large swimming pool. I wanted to go for a swim but Dad wouldn't let me. It looked a little yucky anyway. It was green and ducks were swimming in it.

We then got to enjoy the fair.

There were other animals there too aside from dogs. There was also a booth of farm animals. You know, every time I go out people joke that I'm a horse. Well there was a miniature horse there.

There's me and a horse. Do I look anything like her?

As always there were people asking to take my picture. I might have been the center of attention but Bella was the laughing stock due to her cone.

Paparazzi taking pictures of me

So yeah after two days of a lot of walking I'm REALLY tired. I think I'm going to take a nap.

Weird Day

So on Wednesday Mom and Dad wake up early and pack Bella and I in the car. Mom said her car needed an oil change. Whatever that is. So we drive to this place that had a lot of cars. We all get out and they take Mommy's car. Mom and Dad take me inside and I'm the center of attention again. There was this little girl that kept crying. I tried to make her happy by letting her pet me but that only made her cry some more. She seemed to like Bella better anyway. This guy tried to sell Mom another bigger car but mom said no. Mom you might want to think about getting a new car because I'm getting kinda big. After Mom got her car back we went to Victoria Gardens. One of the few times Bella also comes with us. Well we were only there for an hour when Bella got hurt. Mom thinks she accidentally cut herself on a bush. There was blood everywhere. I'm surprised Bella didn't cry. The smallest scratch usually makes her yelp. Mom drops me off at grandma and grandpa's house and takes Bella to the vet. When mom came home, she came home with the running lamp again.

Princess Cone Head

Mom then grabbed me and we went back to Victoria Gardens.

We met Dad for dinner at my favorite place, Johnny Rockets. Mom then took me walking around for some more training. Cool thing about this time was, I got to meet a boy. There was this boy, Raider, he's the same color as me and only a few months older. He was only a little bit taller than me. He actually asked me to play with him so I did.

Raider and Me

Raider and Me playing

Well Mom walked me around some more. Everybody would not stop talking how big I am. One guy even called me a very convienient dog because he didn't have to bend over. I got hounded by the paparazzi again though.

Mom says she's on vacation this week so we're going to be doing a lot more training. We'll see how this week goes.
