I Don't Have To Learn the Escalator

For the last few weeks during my therapy dog training, mom and dad have been trying to get me to go on this thing called the escalator. It's scary. It makes a spooky sound and it constantly moves. Well dad talked with Curtis a few days ago and Curtis said although he'd like me to go up an escalator it's not required. I'm breathing a sigh of relief.

Back to training again

So this morning mom packs Bella and I in the car and stops at grandma and grandpa's house. She drops Bella off and off we go to Victoria Gardens. More training. We haven't done this in a while.
Mom takes me by the playground and a bunch of kids come pet me again. Today I even got kissed. We met dad for lunch. After lunch mom decides to go to Johnny Rockets for some dessert. They bring me out my favorite large red bowl again along with those cold floaty things.
We walk around the mall. Mom takes me to the playground again. These kids kept feeding me grass and leaves. Yum they're chewy.
We stopped by grandma and grandpa's house. I played a round of ball with Bella and Binx. We had a lot of fun.

Nothing Exciting Lately

I know I haven't posted anything lately. Nothing exciting has happened lately. I wake up, eat breakfast, go back to sleep. My play a game of ball or two with Bella. Go back to sleep. Maybe go over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Have dinner. GO back to sleep again. Just a lot of boring days.

Now I'm Confused

So Mom and Dad wake up bright and early yesterday morning and grabbed Bella and I. Mom said we were going to Victoria Gardens. Things are typical so far. Things started to get weird when we passed Grandma and Grandpa's house but didn't go. Usually when we go to Victoria Gardens we drop Bella off at Grandma and Grandpa's house and mom takes me for a training round. Mom said we were going to scrap training for today so Bella could also have some fun. Wow, my sister finally gets to join in on the fun with me.
So we arrive at Victoria Gardens. Dad goes to work. He works at this place called the Apple store. I don't get it. There are no apples in the store just a bunch of shiny screens. While Dad's at work there's all these tents popping up in the middle of the road. Mom said it's called a Farmer's Market. I wanted to go where they were selling all the food. Mom said no because no dogs allowed. Oh well.
After dad got off work we went to my favorite restaurant, Johnny Rockets. Talk about customer service. They gave Bella water in her favorite color bowl, pink, and water in my favorite color bowl, red. The water had these things floating in it. I tried to catch some. They were cold and tasted like water but they were so slippery and did I mention cold? Whenever I accidentally dropped one on the floor I couldn't pick it up again. Dad bumped into the owners of Johnny Rockets. They had the waiter bring out more of those cold floaty things.
Later I think I got a little jealous of my sister. As soon as people saw her they started petting and playing with her instead of me. Well she's usually jealous of me so nice turn around.
On our way home we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Binx wanted to play but I was too tired and boy I was tired. So was Bella. I remember falling asleep on the floor. When I woke up the sky was dark and my favorite time, dinner time!

Bella Graduated

My sister Bella graduated from her Puppy 1 class yesterday. Congrats Sis!!!! Good luck in your Puppy 2 class in a few weeks.

YMCA take 2

Today, Tuesday April 4, I went back to the YMCA again.  This time instead of going with Mom I went with Dad.  I didn't hear an alarm go off but at about 8 am we got up and left.  I hope that Dad is not turning into a morning person.  I need my sleep.  Anyway, I went to the YMCA again today.  The first place we went to was a gym area with a lot of weights. There were a lot of interesting smells.  After the weight room we went up stairs and found a couple of different rooms with wood floors.  Only one I could enter because the others said they needed eye protection.  Does that mean that I need goggles?  Oh well.  The other room I could go in was big with a couple of loops high in the air on either end.  I have no idea what the room was used for but it did have a lot of interesting smells.  After that room we went upstairs again. How many stairs does this place have?  The third floor just showed us the wood floor rooms from high up above.  then we went back down stairs, all the way down stairs.  we went farther back into the YMCA and through a couple of sliding glass doors.  There was this huge water bowl that people were in.  I don't understand why people would do that.  The water didn't even taste all that good, too much salt.

I did like going back to that room and visiting all the people.  I am not sure that I would get in or not but Daddy was not letting me in at all.  He said the YMCA might not appreciate if I got into their pool.  I am not sure why, he just gave me a bath on Sunday.  I only got a little dirty digging in the yard at grandma and grandpa's house yesterday.

After the first time at the pool I went to the other side of the YMCA to the very open room with older people in it.  They were moving around and using stretchy things and balls.  One of the ladies there even let me have her ball to play with.  It didn't last long like my balls at home do though.  It popped the first time I bit down on it.  but it was still fun to shake the remains around for a while.  Everyone even started laughing when I did it.  I am not sure they understood that I needed to make sure it was completely dead before it came and got me!

After that Dad took me around the YMCA a few more times until close to the time we left we went in with the kids.  This was great until I had a small accident in the room.  I am embarrassed about it but it made all the kids leave the room.  After Dad did something with paper and a spray bottle we left for the day.  I wish I hadn't made that mistake, the kids were a lot of fun.  They even all had treats for me to have.  There was even a little girl that seamed a bit similar to Mom except a lot smaller.  I liked her.

Oh well.  I hope to go back there again sometime and possibly play with the kids more.

One Very Confusing Day

Last Sunday was a very confusing day for me.  First thing that happened was that my Dad and Mom got up in the morning.  It is so unusual for them to do that because they are usually up very late at night.  Without much time they both got dressed and we were out of the house.  I asked myself what was going on?  I am still not sure if I really know now.  There I am in the car seat belted in and we stop at grandma and grandpa's house.  I figured that I was going to be left there to play with Binx but wait a minute, DAD LEFT ME IN THE CAR!!!!  (Binx is grandma and grandpa's dog) He went inside and very shortly there after was coming out with Binx.  What was going on???  Dad then loaded Binx in the car and seat belted him in.  Now that was a tight fit!  Mom, Dad, and Bella in the front and Binx and I in the back.  I may not be the biggest dog in the world, at least not yet, but that was a tight fit in such a small car.  Then off we were again.  Very strange.  Now I am not the smartest dog in the world but I know something is not right.  

Where did we end up you may ask?  We went to the Claremont Pooch Park.  Here I found a couple of other Great Danes and other dogs to play with.  

Here is Duke.  He is a 20 month old man.  I can call him old because he is twice my age but he is bigger than me so I should probably be nice.

In the end all good things must come to an end and so did the park.  Dad came and got me and we all squeezed back into the car.  I guess that we are going back over to grandma's and grandpa's house.  But wait, we left the park and then stopped not to far down the road.  Are we going somewhere else?  Yes we did.  Mom and Dad met with another one of the Great Dane owners for lunch.  

Now I know that this is vain but what can you expect from a 10 month old puppy?  I was jealous of Duke when we were out to lunch.  I am so used to people fawning all over me that I was a bit upset that they were all over Duke instead!!!  I am the girl and I deserve the attention.  But he got it.  Next time I see him I will make him try to out run me.  He may be bigger but I am much faster!

Anyway, after lunch we got back into the shoe box my Dad calls a car and back onto the freeway to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  But wait? When we stopped we are back at our house not grandma and grandpa's house.  We forgot to drop off Binx.  Yay.  Now I get a lot more time to play with Binx.  A little bit later grandma, grandpa, and uncle Chris show up at our house.  They have only done that a couple of times in our past.  Once they get there they start cleaning up the front yard and making the car pee something very dark.  After some time working outside we all go inside.  Since Binx, Bella, and I have been playing the whole time we were outside we were very tired.  Now I think it is nap time but Dad has other ideas for me.

After we went in the house my Dad got into the shower.  He does this sometimes when he works a lot so I didn't think anything of it.  Then Grandma grabbed Bella and took her into the bathroom.  This seems a little bit strange to me but it happens from time to time especially after she digs in the mud.  After Bella came out Binx went in.  There went my hopes of staying out of the shower.  Binx was a cry baby about his shower.  I know that it is no picnic but here was no need to whine the whole time.  One he came out it was my turn in the shower.  Darn.  I walked in like it was my own funeral.  I should know by now that there isn't a problem to having a bath but I still don't like them.  We all got blow dried so we were not cold but still, don't like showers.

That was pretty well the end of my confusing day.  I went to sleep and the next day was back to normal.  I wonder what will happen next week...
