With Christmas less than a week away I would like to spread a word of caution. Please do not buy your friends and family cats and dogs for Christmas. You will not believe how many of them end up in the pound or worse, the side of the road. My sister Bella was someone's unwanted Christmas present and was abandoned on the side of the road in a box. She is fortunate that mom and dad found her. So few are as lucky as her.
If you insist on buying your loved one a dog or cat mom suggests vouchers. A homemade gift certificate that promises a dog or cat in the future.

Very Busy
I recently got two more cousins their names are Ja-Ja and Pumpkin. They are Chinese Shar-peis. I will have photos of them soon.
Mommy measured me about a week ago and said that I'm 35.75 inches tall. That means I'm taller than the previous record holder Nova.
Bella recently started her therapy dog training so Mommy and Daddy have been taking her out a lot.
Well that's the last couple weeks in a nutshell.

My First Therapy Dog Assignment
After we drive and drive and drive we arrive at this school and Curtis was there to meet us.
There's me
But I wasn't the only therapy dog there.
From left to right: Slyer a Havanese, Bucky a Shih-Tsu, and Percie a Labradoodle
A Boxer named Jill
There was also a Schnauzer named Bella. (Not my sister)
So we all meet Curtis and Curtis arranges the order we will go in. Curtis said I would go in last because the kids would love me the most. As soon as Curtis called my name Mom and I walked in and you should have heard the jaws drop of the students. The students and teachers were so amazed that Curtis had Mom parade me in front of the first row of students.
So after the school assembly we all individually get to go to the classrooms. Guess who was in such high demand? So instead I go to the gym so the students get a chance to pet me.
Curtis is asking me to sit
Getting petted.
Curtis said the school might ask us to come back in a few months. I can't wait. Maybe next time Bella, my sister not the Schnauzer, will be done with her training and can join us.

Advice For Potential Future Great Dane Owners
Daddy got a call from Grandma today saying that one of Grandma's friend's has a great dane puppy that has just gotten too big for her. Mommy and Daddy said they are going to go see the puppy next week and maybe bring it home. Yay! I get another little brother or sister. Bring on the serious side I thought I'd use this opportunity to educate some future potential great dane owners.
You will not believe how many great danes end up in the pound by the time they are 6 or 7 months old. That is because by then they are so big but we're still puppies and we behave like immature puppies. By then we're about the size of an adult lab or German Shepard.
I know when a lot of people see my mommy walking me around Victoria Gardens a lot of people want a Great Dane because I'm so huge. My advice to people before you get a Great Dane is to please do your homework. Realize that when we're puppies we're the size of other adult dogs. Or as my Mommy puts it. Get ready to have a 6 foot tall 5 year old around the house.

I'm Tired
On Friday Mom takes Bella and I to Victoria Gardens again and we walked and walked and walked. We then ended up at Grandma and Grandpa's house and Binx just wanted to play.
Saturday morning Mom and Dad wake up bright and early and say we're going hiking.
We drove and drove this long and winding road. I had to balance myself so many times. But we finally ended up at the:
Lake Gregory Dog Park
We were joined by my old friend Duke and his sister Jasmine. We were also joined by a Harlequin named Arrow and black named Spice.
After some fun at the park we went for a hike. It wasn't as long as the hike to Heart Rock but it was still a lot of fun. Plus there was a large pool.
After the hike we Duke's daddy joined us to go get some food. We went back to Lake Arrowhead. Arrow and Spice went home but guess who joined us:
Sabre
I got to enjoy my french fries again. Now I don't mean to sound arrogant but I'm usually the center of attention and it wasn't just Duke but also Sabre that got all the attention.
Everyone's petting Sabre
Well I need to catch up on a lot of sleep. For all of you who took pictures of me. Please post them on my Facebook Page.

Dog Friendly Meatloaf
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Core apple. Grate or chop apple and vegetables. If you choose to chop Mommy puts them in a food processor until they are a fine grind.
- In a large bowl combine meat, eggs, rice, and the vegetable medley. Mommy usually uses her hands for the mixing. Her hands taste so good after that until she washes them
- Pack the mixture in a loaf pan. Mommy likes to use something called the Perfect Meatloaf.
- Bake for 2 hours or until center is 150 degrees
- Let it cool for 15 to 30 minutes before serving
- Slice it and serve it to your dog. Mommy and Daddy mix it into my kibble in replace of wet. YUM!!!!
Yum, Yum, Yum!!! I love meatloaf

World Record Just Got Harder
There is another Great Dane, Cooper, who is 36.5 inches. She's currently waiting for Guinness to officiate the record.
So now instead of needing to grow another half an inch I need to grow another inch and a half. Well I'm only 14 months. I still have another 4 to 10 months of growing left.
I still might become the tallest female dog in America.
Mom and Dad said they're going to measure me in a few weeks. We'll see how tall I am.

The Dog Wash
We drove for a while then we stopped at a place called the Pet Wash Center. When I got into this place I could hear Binx in the back. Yay I get to go play with Binx. Daddy takes me into the back and I see BINX ALL WET. IT'S BATH TIME!!! NNNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Dad made me walk the plank and put new collar on my neck. Then came the water.
Dad washing me
I'm all wet
I thought that was the end of it. But it wasn't. REALLY BIG BLOW DRYER!!!!!!! SAVE ME!!!!!!
Dad and Grandma drying me
This month's torture is now over with.

Hike To Heart Rock
There was my old friend Duke
The Harlequin is Chance. The Blue is Zora. Zora's Sister Roma (a Boston Terrier) is hiding behind Chance.
I also made some new friends.
That is Breena
This is Journey. He is a wolf hybrid
There's me. There's Saber. Do we look anything alike? Enough said.
So we started to walk. Sometimes Mom and Dad let us run loose. That was a lot of fun.
Everybody hiking
Pretty Scenery
After a long walk we finally arrive at Heart Rock. The thing that was so fun about Heart Rock was that there were two swimming pools. This is the life.
I slipped on the rock then Bella pushed me in
While we were at Heart Rock we got a major shock. Bella jumped into one of the ponds and started swimming. Bella my scaredy little sister who won't even let Mom and Dad give her a bath went for a swim.
If you look closely you'll see a little head sticking out of the water near the rock.
After we finished hiking Duke's owner Bill along with Mom and Dad took us to Lake Arrowhead. We walked around looking for a place to eat but our parents settled on McDonalds. I'm a little jealous of Duke. He's bigger so he got all the attention and everyone wanted to take a picture with him and not me. But while everyone was taking pictures of Duke these kids a few tables back kept feeding me their french fries. Duke might have gotten all the attention but I got the free food.
Mom and Dad said we're going on another hike in a few weeks. I can't wait.

A Little Secret Revealed
All the kids petting Bella
Well I usually get all the attention so I guess it's time Bella got some too, plus it is really going to benefit her therapy dog training.
I got to meet a lot of dogs too. Several Poodles, a Border Collie, several Chihuahuas, and a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named Nemo. He really liked playing with me.
I got hounded by the paparazzi AGAIN!!!! OMG!!!! We walk half a block and someone wants to take a picture with me. We got stuck in one place for a whole hour because one person takes a picture with me then as soon as that person leaves another person comes, then another, then another.
There is a little secret I've been keeping for the last few months and now I think it's time to reveal it, I'm trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. According to the Guinness Book of World Records the tallest female dog is a Great Dane named Nova. She measures in at 35.5 inches at the shoulders. Well Mom and Dad measured me a few days ago and I came in a 35 inches. Unlike Nova, I'm just a puppy, I'm still growing. Great Danes don't stop growing until they are between 18 and 24 months. That means I still have 5 to 11 months of growing left. I could easily pass Nova. So all you people taking pictures of me. Keep those pictures in a safe place, I might be famous someday.

Bella the Copydog
On Thursday Mom took me to Victoria Gardens. They opened up this new grass area. I love it. I love to roll around in it. When I roll around the kids give me belly rubs. Those feel great. While I was rolling around Bella decided to do the same thing. Bella you are such a copycat. Well dog. A Copydog.
Bella is starting to get the attention lately. People start eyeing us because of me but then everyone starts petting and hugging Bella.
